Losing a loved one is considered the most difficult life event you will ever face. Whether sudden or expected, loss turns your world upside down. Your mind swirls, your heart breaks and an unquivering sadness unfolds into a well of grief.

You grieve because you have loved. Taking the time to honor your sorrow is essential for healing. A group consisting of people who have lost a loved one is a supportive community where experiences are shared and listened to. A licensed counselor supports this process and shares strategies and skills for coping with loss and redefining meaning and purpose.

This small group is for adults, age 50 and older, who have lost a loved one. It is limited to 6 participants, 6 sessions for a fee of $400. Receipts for services can be submitted to your insurance company.

Facilitated by Dr. Suzanne Nixon who has experienced loss, with the passing of both her parents and several friends. She has taken workshops in grief and a training in Finding Meaning with Grief with David Kessler, a renowned grief expert. Additonally, Dr. Nixon has experience in helping individuals, who are dying cross over.
